The IS200ECTBG1A is the Exciter Contact Terminal Board (ECTB) used in redundant configurations of the GE EX2100 Excitation Control — the static excitation platform GE deployed for generator field control alongside Speedtronic Mark VI-era turbine controls. It is not a Mark VI turbine I/O board, even though it carries the same IS200 platform prefix and is usually catalogued with Mark VI hardware. Its job is contact-level interfacing: it lands the exciter's discrete inputs and relay contact outputs on field-wireable terminals and passes them to the exciter's control electronics.

The ECTB is a largely passive termination and relay board, and much of what looks like an ECTB failure actually originates upstream or in the field. A few honest checks before you order:

All six contact inputs read dead. Measure the wetting voltage at the input terminals. If the nominal 70 V dc is missing across the whole board, suspect the wetting supply path through J13M1/J13M2 before the ECTB itself.

One input reads dead, the rest are fine. With wetting voltage present, the problem is usually the field contact or its wiring, not the terminal board. Each input circuit drives an on-board status indication, which helps you confirm whether the board actually sees the contact change state.

A Form-C output will not change state. The relay drivers are commanded from the EMIO side — verify the command actually reaches the ECTB (EMIO health, backplane cabling on J405/J408/J415) before condemning a relay. Also confirm that the customer-side control voltage wired to the output terminals, commonly 125 V dc, is present.

Nuisance trip suspicion. In a redundant EX2100, the trip drivers are voted 2-out-of-3, so a single failed channel should not by itself operate the lockout. If the lockout operated, examine the lockout relay and the trip chain as a whole, not only this board.
If those checks still point at the terminal board — burned relay contacts, failed on-board wetting distribution, connector damage — a replacement ECTBG1A is the right call.
