Power Backbone of the Speedtronic Mark V Panel
Every processor rack in a GE Speedtronic Mark V panel boots from power that passes through one board: the TCPD power distribution card. The DS200TCPDG2B — supplied here as revision DS200TCPDG2BEC — is the Group 2 build of that card. It mounts in the power distribution core, written <PD> in GE documentation, where the panel's incoming supply lands: a battery-backed 125 V DC feed, AC feeds terminated on the AC1H/AC1N and AC2H/AC2N points, or both. From the <PD> core, the TCPD fuses and routes 125 V DC to the DS200TCPS power supply board in each processor core — <R>, <S>, <T>, and <C> — and to the three TCEA emergency protection boards on the X, Y, and Z channels of the protective core. Per the Mark V application documentation, solenoid power for the DTBC and DTBD terminal boards and, on gas turbine units, AC for the ignition transformers are also sourced through this card, and a dedicated feed lets the panel monitor the <PD> core's own AC and DC output. The digital I/O sections are not powered directly; they draw through their associated processor core.
The board itself is deliberately simple: 36 fuses in twist-open canisters, a green OK LED beside each fuse position, eight toggle switches, four AC terminal points, and keyed power distribution connectors. The eight switches de-energize each core individually — including the X, Y, and Z protective channels — which is exactly how Mark V technicians reboot a single core without dropping the rest of the panel.
Before You Order: Prove the Fault Is Really in the TCPD
The TCPD carries no processor, no PROMs, and no software configuration. It is fuses, switches, terminals, and copper. Most "power problems" blamed on it actually live upstream or downstream, and the board's own indicators tell you where to look:

One dark fuse LED. Each green LED is lit while its fuse element is intact. A single dark LED means an open fuse — and an open fuse usually means a downstream short in the circuit it protects, not a bad distribution board. Root-cause the short before re-fusing, or the new fuse will clear just as fast.

All LEDs dark. The board is not receiving power. Verify the station battery breaker, the DACA converter output, and the incoming terminations before condemning anything inside the panel.

A single core dead or rebooting. Confirm that core's toggle switch was not left off, then look at the TCPS power supply and the ribbon cables inside the affected core. In a well-documented control.com field case, an <S> core that spontaneously rebooted for weeks was cured by reseating a power ribbon cable and ultimately replacing the TCPS — every TCPD output checked good.

Ground fault alarms on the 125 V DC system. These are frequently external. In one Mark V field report, a leaking station battery kept a ground fault alive even after technicians had disconnected every output wire from the TCPD card.

Panel-wide instability. Check DC bus quality. Excessive AC ripple — for example, when the battery is taken offline for service and a charger carries the bus alone — can destabilize supplies in every core at once and imitate a distribution failure.
Real TCPD failures do happen: burned or loosened terminals, fatigued fuse holders, damaged switch mechanisms, heat-stressed connectors. But they are the minority, and thirty minutes of checks will keep you from buying a board that cannot fix your problem.
Reading the DS200TCPDG2BEC Part Number
GE's DS200-prefix numbering is consistent across the Mark V board set. DS200 identifies the board series; TCPD is the functional acronym for the power distribution card; G2 places the board in Group 2; and the trailing letters are revision identifiers — the repair and surplus market conventionally reads BEC as first functional revision B, second functional revision E, and artwork revision C. Two points matter when matching stock to your panel:

Group is not negotiable. A G2 board is a different build from a G1 board, and a G-group part is never interchangeable with an H-group part number. Match the group printed on your label.
