The commercial name "RST Overflow Board" describes exactly what the DS200TCQCG1B does: when the number of analog channels an application requires exceeds what the TCQA alone can handle at position 2 of the core, the TCQC steps in at position 4 to absorb the overflow. GE's own documentation also refers to it as the "Analog IO Expander Board" — both names describe the same board.
Confirmed Functions
Besides extending channels, the TCQC supplies the excitation voltage for the position LVDTs and digitally converts the called-for fuel flow value into an analog signal. It also maintains two DENET connections that form a passive six-port bridge for that network.
It Doesn't Exist Without the TCQA
The TCQC depends on the TCQA (and the TCQB, if installed) on the same core to function — it isn't a standalone board. That has a direct practical consequence for diagnosis: an incorrect analog-channel symptom can originate on the TCQA and only appear "associated" with the TCQC because the two share the same group of signals.
