The PS5500E includes fault tolerance capabilities through fully redundant and hot-swappable components – dual controllers, standard dual fan trays, dual power supplies, and disk drives with hot spares. The PS5500E’s dual controllers provide a total of 2GB of battery-backed memory with up to 72 hours of data protection.
