Overview
The NVIDIA/Mellanox MMS4A00 compatible OSFP224 optical transceiver is a twin-port module designed for InfiniBand XDR network architectures. It delivers 1.6Tb/s aggregate bandwidth by providing 2 x 800Gb/s connections. Utilizing silicon photonics-based architecture and a 3nm Broadcom DSP, the module supports 8-channel parallel transmission over single-mode fiber with 200G-PAM4 electrical modulation.
Key Features
-
Integrated Heat Sink (IHS) Design: Features an integrated closed finned top for thermal management, compatible with standard air-cooled switch environments.
-
Broadcom 3nm DSP Integration: Utilizes advanced 3nm digital signal processing to facilitate 8x 200G-PAM4 modulation for high-speed data delivery.
-
Dual MPO-12/APC Connectivity: Each of the two 800G ports utilizes a dedicated MPO-12/APC interface for connection to single-mode fiber infrastructure.
-
Silicon Photonics Technology: Implements a SiPh-based optical design to maintain high port density and efficient signal transmission at 1310nm.
-
InfiniBand XDR Compatibility: Engineered specifically for compatibility with NVIDIA Quantum-X800 switches and DGX GB300/B300 systems.
