Two Ethernet ports handle the outside world — one to the UDH for configuration and peer-to-peer, one on a separate subnet for Modbus or EGD — with RS-232C on COM1 for setup and COM2 for a DCS link. The QNX real-time operating system underneath is what keeps all of this deterministic.
