IS200TSVCH2A: The Group 2 Servo Terminal Board
Not every TSVC is the same TSVC. The IS200TSVCH2A is the hardware group 2 build of GE's Servo Input/Output terminal board — described in distributor documentation as a two-channel, barrier-type servo terminal board with two coil outputs and two pulse-rate inputs, weighing roughly 2.25 pounds. Like the rest of the TSVC family, it forms the direct interface between the Speedtronic control system and the field side of a servo-positioned valve installation: actuator drive out, position feedback in, all on one turbine-specific termination board. Consolidating that interface onto a single engineered board is exactly what this generation of GE I/O was designed to do — fewer intermediate junctions, fewer single points of failure, less instrumentation to maintain between the panel and the valve stand.
Confirm the Fault Path: Valve, Wiring, Pack, or Board
A servo loop crosses four zones — the servo valve and hydraulics, the field wiring, the terminal board, and the servo I/O electronics that actually run the diagnostics. Replacing the terminal board only fixes zone three, so place the fault first:
-
Hydraulics and servo valve: sticky or sluggish valve response with healthy electrical readings belongs to the mechanical side. No terminal board changes that.
-
Field wiring: measure coil resistance and LVDT circuits at the board's terminal blocks with wires lifted. An open or shorted reading toward the field clears the board immediately.
-
Terminal board: inspect for the physical signatures of real failure — surge or lightning damage, heat-discolored terminal points, corrosion. Because the blocks are removable, a swap is quick once the board is genuinely implicated.
-
I/O electronics: if diagnostics report servo current not responding or feedback out of range across channels, or the whole board's worth of signals drops at once, suspect the mating pack and its cabling before the passive termination hardware.
One more trap specific to swaps: coil drive current on TSVC boards is set by onboard jumpers. Carry the jumper configuration over from the outgoing board, or a healthy replacement will still misdrive the valve.
H1A vs H2A: Matching the Right TSVC Group
Within the part number, IS200 is the board series, TSVC the function, and H2A the hardware group (2) plus functional revision (A) — with the trailing AA on this unit's label recording manufacturing revision. The group digit is the one to respect: documentation ties the H2A build specifically to the PSVOH1B servo I/O pack, while H1A is the group 1 build of the same function. Order the group your system was engineered with; if the plant records only show "TSVC," a photo of the existing board's label settles it in seconds. The general rules for reading these strings are in our GE Speedtronic Part Number Decoder.
Hardware Details from Published Documentation
- Two removable barrier-type terminal blocks along one long edge of the board
- Two pulse-rate inputs, documented for heavy-duty and aeroderivative gas turbines as well as steam applications
- Four transformers, three D-shell connectors, and multiple vertical plug connectors
- Jumper switches for configuration, components mounted on both sides, reference designators printed for identification, conformal coating over the assembly
- Documented compatibility with the PSVOH1B servo I/O pack; the TSVC family as a whole pairs with PSVO/WSVO electronics rather than the VME-rack VSVO card, whose racks use the separate TSVO terminal board
The TSVC sits alongside dozens of sibling termination boards in the platform — the full lineup is in our GE Mark VI IS200 Boards collection, with the wider multi-generation range under GE Speedtronic Turbine Control Boards.
Information Checklist for Your RFQ
- Full label string (this unit: IS200TSVCH2AAA) and a label photo where possible
- Confirmation of the hardware group on your existing board (H1 vs H2)
- Mating servo pack part number — for H2A, documentation points to PSVOH1B
- Turbine model, control architecture, quantity, and how fast you need it
