Before You Pull the IC3600LIBB1A, Check the Signal Chain

The shared power supply. The Mark I-II runs on a self-contained supply that feeds the whole rack. A sagging or noisy rail can make a perfectly good buffer look intermittent. Measure it first.

The device upstream. A buffer relays its input faithfully, faults included. Confirm the transducer, wiring and source card are delivering a clean signal before you assume the buffer mangled it.

Neighboring boards. If more than one loop is affected, look to the backplane or the supply rather than swapping buffers one at a time.
