HPE DL320 Gen11 NS204i-u Boot Device
HPE NS204i-u Boot Device is an optional front-panel PCIe 5.0 module for the DL320 Gen11 with two hot-pluggable 2280 M.2 NVMe SSDs. It delivers dedicated hardware RAID 1 boot mirroring that auto-creates the volume at boot and supports Windows, Linux, and VMware via native drivers.
Requirements: N204i-u Boot device includes 2x 480GB M.2 NVMe SSDs, with pre-configured hardware RAID1. Server must use high performance fan kit when supporting NS204i-u for all CTO Configs. The specific cables needed to connect the NS204i-u in the DL320 Gen11 (P52786-B21)
HPE DL320 Gen11 PCI Risers
Max 2 of PCIe and OROC internal controllers can be selected per server.
Both Risers are Supported in the GPU CTO
If Full Length GPUS are installed the rear PCIe slots will support LP Adapters.
HPE DL320 Gen11 GPU
Notes:
- Cannot mix Doublewide and Singlewide GPU.
- P62181-B21 - Allows installation and proper operation of 4 GPUs in the front GPU cage.
- P62197-B21 - Allows installation and proper operation of 2 GPUs (typically double-wide cards) in the front GPU cage.
HPE DL320 Gen11 Lights Out! iLO
HPE iLO 6 is the 6th-generation Integrated Lights-Out management processor built into HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers (including the DL320 Gen11).
It delivers secure out-of-band remote management, allowing you to monitor, control, and troubleshoot the server even when the OS is down or the server is powered off.
Key features include a hardware Silicon Root of Trust, enhanced security (secure boot, attestation), Redfish-compliant RESTful API, improved remote console, virtual media, and seamless integration with HPE Compute Ops Management and OneView.
Key Configuration Notes
1. The GPU CTO chassis supports either 4x single-wide GPUs or 2x double-wide GPUs — these configurations cannot be mixed.
2. High Performance Fan Kit is recommended when installing GPUs..
3. When using GPUs in the front cage, rear PCIe slots become more limited due to power and thermal constraints.
4. The Standard chassis uses rear PCIe risers. The GPU CTO chassis uses a front GPU cage instead.
5. Not all storage controllers and networking cards are available in both PCIe (-p) and OCP (-o) versions.
6. Some configurations may require specific cable kits depending on the drive backplane and controller chosen.
