IS200RAPAG1BAA: The Board Every Other Board in the Rack Depends On
Processors get the glory; power supplies get the blame. The IS200RAPAG1BAA is GE's Rack Power Supply Board (functional acronym RAPA) from the Mark VI-era Speedtronic hardware generation. It mounts in GE's Innovation Series board rack and produces the regulated DC control voltages that every other board in that rack draws through the P1 backplane connector. Its input is not ordinary station DC: the RAPA is fed a 48 V, 25 kHz square-wave from an external supply and converts it into the rack's low-voltage rails. When this board is unhappy, the whole rack is unhappy — which is exactly why it gets ordered in a hurry, and sometimes ordered when it was never the problem.
One clarification worth making early: the Innovation Series board rack is not the same assembly as the Mark VI VME I/O racks that make up the <R>, <S>, and <T> control cores. If your dead rack is one of those VME racks, verify part numbers from the label before assuming a RAPA — the two rack families use different supplies. A label photo with your RFQ removes all doubt.
IPOK and MPOK: Read the Two LEDs Before You Buy Anything
The RAPA's faceplate carries two LEDs — IPOK (input power OK) and MPOK (module power OK) — and together they tell you which side of the board your problem lives on:

Both dark: the board is not receiving its 48 V square-wave input. That points upstream — the external supply that generates the waveform, its wiring, or upstream protection. Replacing the RAPA fixes nothing here.

IPOK lit, MPOK dark: input is arriving but the regulated outputs are not healthy. That is either a genuine RAPA failure or a downstream board or backplane short dragging a rail down. Unpower, pull the non-essential boards from the rack, and re-check — a shorted neighbor imitates a dead supply convincingly.

Both lit, rack still misbehaving: stop shopping for a power supply and look at the individual boards, the backplane connections, or reset signaling.
Two more checks cost nothing: the board carries a 1 A, 250 V fuse, and the faceplate exposes four test points — documented as P5, P15, N15, and DCOM — so you can put a meter on the actual rails instead of guessing. Vendor documentation also describes a power-on/reset function on this board; a supply that holds the rack in reset can masquerade as a dead controller, so note any reset behavior you observe and mention it in your RFQ.

The board itself carries heat sinks, an inductor, capacitors, and the fuse, and it stores its own identity: a 1024-bit serial memory device holds the board ID and revision, readable through the P1 connector on the BRDID line. That means the rack can know exactly which board and revision is installed — and so can you, from the label, without pulling the board.
