G1A or G1B: What We Know and What We Don't Claim

The TCQC family circulates in at least two groups, G1A and G1B, each with its own suffix revisions. In the independent technical sources we consulted, we didn't find a documented functional difference between the G1A and G1B groups specifically for the TCQC — so we won't claim which one changes what. What is safe to say: correct compatibility is confirmed by comparing the physical label of the board being removed against the replacement, not by assuming that nearby group letters are automatically interchangeable.

Function of the DS200TCQCG1B

Installed in position 4 of the Mark V's <R>, <S>, and <T> cores, this board supplies the excitation voltage for the position LVDTs and digitally converts the fuel flow requested by the control system into an analog signal. It depends on the TCQA (and the TCQB, when present) installed on the same core.

Diagnose Before You Buy

• Confirm the health of the TCQA on the same core before suspecting the TCQC — many symptoms attributed to it start on the TCQA.
• For voltage alarms on the diagnostic screen, check the TCPS fuses and the consistency of the system's calibration file with the boards and PROMs installed before swapping hardware.
• Physically confirm the TCQC's presence on the core — not every Mark V application uses it.

DS200TCQCG1B is the base; DS200TCQCG1BBA is the full revision stamped on the physical label. Always provide the complete code, with suffix, when requesting a quote — and send a photo of the label when possible to confirm the exact group.
