• PROM module revision: must be transferred from the old board to the new one, with ESD precautions, and must match what the I/O Configurator expects.
• TCPS fuses (the core's power supply, usually position 5): rule out before assuming a TCEA fault.
• Origin of the replacement board: if the problem persists after the swap, it's worth testing the "new" board in a different position to see if the symptom follows it.
