Some Mark IV Drive Control Boards changed part-number conventions during their production life, and this is one of them: supplier documentation cross-references DS3815PDPA1U1B directly against DS3800HFPG1D1D, treating them as the same board for the same rack position. HFPG is General Electric's function code for the Drive Control Board in the Speedtronic Mark IV system — a card built around a microprocessor and EPROM modules holding the firmware for the specific drive function it runs, with a transistor-to-transistor logic (TTL) device handling interface logic between the board's integrated circuits. Because GE also used the DS3815PDPA designation on other, physically different Mark IV boards, we still recommend a quick label photo before you order, just to be certain your rack position matches.
