The Cisco UCSC-M5-CPU-CAR is a CPU mounting carrier manufactured by Cisco for the UCS C-Series M5 rack servers. It features standard LGA socket compatibility and supports Intel Xeon Scalable processors within supported thermal limits. This component aligns with 2U form factors and includes interfaces suitable for secure physical processor retention.

Designed for use with compatible UCS C240 M5 or similar platforms, this carrier aids in ensuring proper alignment and pressure distribution during CPU installation. It does not include active electronics; transmission speed specifications are defined by installed CPUs rather than the carrier itself. Its passive design requires no external power source and mounts using tool-assisted retention within motherboard trays consistent with specified server assemblies.
