Programmable logic controllers, I/O modules, HMI panels and distributed control system cards — the layer between the field devices and the operator. Led by GE Fanuc (Series 90-30, 90-70, VersaMax, RX3i) and Allen-Bradley, with Foxboro DCS, Red Lion HMIs, Schneider/Modicon, Siemens and Automation Direct.
What we stock
PLC CPUs, backplanes/racks and power supplies; discrete input and output modules; analog input, output and thermocouple modules; high-speed counter and motion modules; communications modules (Genius, Profibus, DeviceNet, Ethernet); Foxboro I/A Series fieldbus modules and control processors; Red Lion operator panels and protocol converters; HMI touchscreens and operator interface terminals; PLC programming cables and memory cards.
Specifying I/O and CPU replacements
The common failure here is buying the right module number at the wrong revision. GE Fanuc modules carry a version suffix (for example IC693 modules ending -CA versus -DA) and mixing revisions in a rack can cause the CPU to fault the module out on power-up. Allen-Bradley 1756/1771/1746 modules are similarly firmware-coupled to the controller's major revision. Send us the module part number with its full suffix, plus the CPU model and firmware revision in the rack, and we will confirm the module will actually come online rather than just fit the slot.
Obsolescence
Series 90-30 and 90-70 are long discontinued; VersaMax is winding down. We supply new-old-stock, tested refurbished and repaired-exchange modules, and can advise where a migration path exists if a like-for-like is genuinely gone.
